I've already written that morality and capitalism are incompatible. If you want to make a profit - forget about relatives , friends, and of morality at all.
Personal interests - it's a regulator of relationships in the world of capital.
I could argue that a lot of capitalists , if not most , are devoted people, sometimes very much so. And in any case , any capitalist honors concluded contracts , as well as the right to property , and that it is generally the shrine of capitalism.
So I don't argue.
Capital loves honesty and integrity . Of others. And honors the concluded contracts . If the other side has enough power to force the partner to follow the signed agreements .
About honesty. On the ineffectiveness of socialist economy in general and the Soviet economy in particular, are written mountains of literature: both scientific and journalistic articles , monographs and books.
Is it time to deal with the question of the effectiveness of the modern capitalist system?
The founders of the Marxist's theory didn't stint compliments to capitalism. Yes, indeed, unprecedented ever progress in the field of science and industry , in the time of Marx and Engels, the mankind was due precisely to the bourgeoisie (For his profits a capitalist will do everything, even move mountains. If earnings bode construction, he will invest in the construction. But if the promise of higher profits is a war , then a capitalist will invest in the war. Nothing personal , just business).
I have deliberately stressed Marx and Engels statements about capitalism, because in the Soviet Union science and industry were developed even more rapidly and completely than in capitalist countries at the same time.
Scientific and technical progress is determined, in many cases, as the main reason of development and prosperity of the "golden billion" .
However, there are other components that underpin the welfare of Western civilization.
And it would not be superfluous, in my view, to investigate the relationship between these components.
For example: What is the share in the prosperity of modern Western civilization was belonged to the exploitation of Natural Resources of the colonies?
As, what is a colony for the metropolis ? This is a free fertile land, a free slave labor (costs, of course, are: a slave must be bought, as well as, the supervisors are also an article to spend. But then a slave could ruthlessly be exploited for seven years. More time in inhuman conditions, nobody could stand), it is a natural wealth of the occupied territory (Here, too, need to invest in a gold mining or oil. But if we reduce the flow rate with the credit terms, we obtain not just fabulous, but fantastic profits!)
Or another question : what is the role played in the development of capitalism and the welfare of modern Western civilization, slave labor and the slave trade? Or child labor at the dawn of capitalism?
How much earned capitalist's system from the collapse of the USSR - it was not only a huge market, but still a huge number of ready professionals who emigrated to the West and work here for local academia and industry, and in addition, they are an enormous reserve of cheap but skill working force.
And if the modern capitalist system is so effective, why Western governments, especially of the U.S., have to rescue local banks from bankruptcy of their successful bankers with taxpayers' money?
Additional question it's about role of the socialist's principles and achievements adopted by capitalist's system during Cold War. Such system of welfare provided West with a social stability for a half of century.
I tried to find on the internet mentioning of fundamental scientific research on the subject. But did not succeed.
Meanwhile , the study of the relationship between Scientific and industrial progress and other components in the development and prosperity of the "golden billion" club would give a clear answer to the question about the effectiveness or ineffectiveness of the present capitalist system.
By the way, during my virtual search, I found a number of interesting data. For example the fact that the slave trade brought the British crown, in the era of capitalism, four times more profit than the sale of British goods in the colonies.
What kind of interest in the welfare of the mentioned above "Gold billion" club is exploitation of poor countries and semi-colonies?
I would greatly appreciate links to research on this topic.
