Иду. Курю.
И в ушах звон шелестит листвой, и стоит туман над рекой Невой.
А над рекой Невой стоит туман, над дурман-травой стоит туман.
Над рекой Невой стоит дурман, над дурман-травой. Пам-парам-пам.
А я иду. А-а-а... Курю. А-а-а...
Пройдусь по Абрикосовой, сверну на Виноградную
И на Тенистой улице я постою в тени.
Иду. Курю.

* Earlier there was `I am going home at evening` as the hero of the song would sooner say like this rather than `in the evening` as it is required by the rules of English grammar.
Besides, `at` implies the exact time, this evening at certain time. I found that translation to be too controversial and came back to the literal Russian text `towards [təˈwɔːdz, twɔːdz,
ˈtɔːdz] evening`. The original Russian phrase reconciles grammar tense contraries from an English grammar view-point, as it literally reads: `Once (one time, one evening)` that
suggests the Past plus `I am going home`(Progressive). I made an attempt to do justice to the orginal and to preserve all the meanings, and that very irregular `at evening` seemed
to me an appropriate solution, i.e., hero is returning home in the evening though earlier he may have never done it regularly at that time, etc. Too abstruse! So towards evening,
towards this evening I`ve returned to simpler, word-to-word translation lest I`d outwit me myself.
