On June 13, 2021, the G7 leaders adopted a communiqué.
On June 14, 2021, the Heads of State and Government participating in the meeting of the North Atlantic Council in Brussels issued a communiqué. On the same day, the NATO Secretary General gave an interview.
In all cases, issues of space were touched upon.
The G7 leaders 'are committed to the safe and sustainable use of space to support humanity's ambition now and in the future. We recognise the importance of developing common standards, best practices and guidelines related to sustainable space operations alongside the need for a collaborative approach for space traffic management and coordination. We call on all nations to work together, through groups like the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space, the International Organization for Standardization and the Inter-Agency Space Debris Coordination Committee, to preserve the space environment for future generations.'
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said at a press conference on June 14, 2021: '... we are just addressing together the fact that China is soon the biggest economy in the world. They already have the biggest, sorry, the second biggest defence budget, and already the biggest Navy, and they are investing heavily in new modern capabilities, including by investing in new disruptive technologies such as autonomous systems, facial recognition and artificial intelligence, and putting them into different weapon systems that they are really in the process of changing the nature of warfare, in a way we have hardly seen before, or perhaps ever seen before."
'We support the international efforts to promote responsible behaviour in space. We consider that attacks to, from, or within space present a clear challenge to the security of the Alliance, the impact of which could threaten national and Euro-Atlantic prosperity, security, and stability, and could be as harmful to modern societies as a conventional attack. "- says the communique.

Keir Simmons: Let me explain. The head of the Russian space agency threatened that Russia would withdraw from the international space project in 2025 ...
Vladimir Putin: ... The International Space Station is gradually completing [usage] its resource due to technical reasons, and, perhaps, in this regard, Roskosmos has no plans to continue the functioning of Space Station. But, as far as I heard from American partners, they also look at future cooperation in this area in their own way, but in general, cooperation with the United States in space, it seems to me, is a good example, where we, in spite of any problems of political relations in recent years, were able to maintain partnership and we value it on both sides ...
I want to assure you that we are interested in the further continuation of work with the United States in this area and we will do this if the American partners themselves do not refuse this. But this does not mean that we should localize our work only with the United States. We are working with China and will continue to work. This applies to all sorts of programs, including the study of deep space. In my opinion, there is nothing but positive thing here. To be honest, I don't even see any contradictions here. With regard to China's space program, the well-known official Chinese documents characterizing this program date back to 2000 and 2006. Both documents cover five-year periods.
As for the evaluative, subjective judgments about China's modern space program, the dominant point of view is that the main element of this program is the creation of a Chinese space station with a permanent crew and the associated development of the manned space flights activity.
As a contrast to this, are presented (1) the Russia's unclear plans about the prospects of the Russial space station, (2) the discussion of the transition from a permanent crew to a rotational principle (with a pouses between expeditions), (3) the debate of the ever increasing replacement (at the future station) of cosmonauts by robots. All these ideas direct to reducing the need for manned astronautics.
Hasn't the modern Russian space industry found itself in a separate historical niche limiting both real development and prospects and worldview? Aunt Manya (from a provincial village) is widely known in narrow circles ...
