Yesterday I was listening to the radio and heard the words "catastrophic situation". Somehow it was unclear, so I looked at the atlas, where the territory is presented without unnecessary details. After that, I realized that events could lead to something similar to the evacuation of Soviet troops from the Peninsula (or the evacuation of enemy troops from the Peninsula) during the Great Patriotic War (1941 - 1945).
I remembered a retired high-ranking military mind. After his resignation, he came to the attention of the company that set and sets the tone on one of the radio stations. That was a few years ago. They began to actively use this military mind for comments on military topics. I was wondering: do they pay him (salary) for his performances, or they use his habit to active work (before retirement) (a person who is used to hard work is looking for how to occupy himself, how to maintain his (own) importance - in such situation, money (salary) is not in the first place; accordingly, such person is ready to speak with his expert opinion and without payment).
And so he was sent to the places where the important point on the air (and sea-) bridge towards the Global South is located. After the journey, he talked about his trip. When he began to praise a good nutrition, I realized that he was being used for free, and I wrote my ironic comment on this (MLIII. The reporting of a high-rank retiree (The story). - September 19, 2019).
Several years have passed since then, and now this retired high-ranking military mind constantly hosts a weekly radio program dedicated to military topics. Obviously, that he has now moved from free speeches to a paid radio-job.
It would be nice to put a bottle on! (Of - with - milk). Such a humorous thought occurred to me.
However, I remembered the letters that were exchanged between the participants in the defense of Rostov-on-Don (the events of November 20, 1941), after the publication in the Molot newspaper of the material by Zalessky Vladimir Vasilievich "... There was a battle on the square" [Залесский Владимир Васильевич "...Был бой на площади"] (Molot newspaper, number 108 (20197) dated May 9, 1989, page 3. The Molot newspaper is an organ of the Rostov Regional Committee of the CPSU and the regional Council (Soviet) of People's Deputies).
This publication in the newspaper came to hands of some participants in the events of November 20, 1941.
Messages were sent from their cities to Rostov-on-Don and from Rostov-on-Don to their cities.
In the period between July 25, 1989 and August 3, 1989, a personal meeting of the participants of the battle (on November 20, 1941) took place.
The correspondence continued after this meeting.
Here are some of these messages:
August 3, 1989. Letter (from) L.T. Starodubtsev dated August 3, 1989. (A gratitude for the well-organized meeting in Rostov, in a home of Associate Professor Zalessky, for the "wonderful reception"). (Was mentioned "associate Professor Zalessky, who defended Rostov Mountain"). (The mention "three warriors were met from the Molot newspaper"). ("Write letters to us, we will be glad. Dear comrades in arms.")
(The letter also contains complaints about the poor living conditions of L.T. Starodubtsev and his family members and about the lack of an effective response from local authorities to L.T. Starodubtsev's requests to provide comfortable housing for him (a disabled person of the Great Patriotic War) and for his family members).
October 5, 1989. Letter (from) L.T. Starodubtsev dated October 5, 1989. "I'm waiting for my daughter's comfortable housing and a one-room apartment for me personally. As soon as we receive the apartment, we will inform you by telegram. I will get a dried fishes and will come to you for a day."
As of August 3, 1989, L.T. Starodubtsev is experiencing discomfort due to the fact that the authorities are in no hurry to provide comfortable housing for him, a disabled person of the Great Patriotic War, and his family members.
But at this moment, L.T. Starodubtsev is not a "lone complainer." Starodubtsev L.T. is in correspondence with Associate Professor Zalessky from Rostov-on-Don. Associate Professor Zalessky published the material in the Molot newspaper. (L.T. Starodubtsev participated in many battles, was awarded many orders and medals, but ... Only a (one) publication appeared: about the battle on November 20, 1941 ...). A personal meeting took place in Rostov-on-Don (the guests lived in the apartment of Zalesskies). Photos after the meeting (taken by Zalessky) are in the hands of L.T. Starodubtsev. Naturally, he shows these photos and correspondence to his friends, acquaintances and relatives.
Soon ... the Order bearer Starodubtsev L.T. will start to complain to the Rostov-on-Don Regional Committee of the CPSU, to the Ministry of Defense of the USSR, to the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR? Will he attach the Molot newspaper (with the article by Zalessky) and photographs (taken by Zalessky)?
Still, you must agree, it would be nice to add to the efforts (of a historical nature) by Associate Professor Zalessky (with) the efforts of the order-bearer, disabled man of the Great Patriotic War Starodubtsev. Just as L.T. Starodubtsev is not comfortable being a "lone complainer" (before Zalessky's publication, before the meeting in Rostov-on-Don in Zalessky's apartment, before photographs and before the exchange of letters ...), so Zalessky is not comfortable being a "lone historian" of the battle of November 20, 1941.
So, (presumably) the Order bearer Starodubtsev L.T. begins to write letters to the Rostov-on-Don Regional Committee of the CPSU, to the Ministry of Defense of the USSR, to the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.
And in these letters to the Highest Party and State Authorities, L.T. Starodubtsev raises the question not only about the "providing comfortable housing for him, a disabled person of the Great Patriotic War, and for his family members," but also about awarding state awards to Zalesski Jozefa Adamovna and Zalessky Vladimir Vasilievich - participants in the defense of Rostov-on-Don on November 20 1941.
And L.T. Starodubtsev will not only send a joyful telegram to Rostov-on-Don ("As soon as we get an apartment, we will inform you by telegram. I will get a dried fishes and will come to you to visit for a day"), not only will he come to stay at the Zalessky apartment with dried fish, but he will also bring pleasant answers from the Regional Committee of the CPSU, from the Ministry of Defense of the USSR, from the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, pleasant answers, from which it follows that Starodubtsev's proposals on awarding Zalesski Jozefa Adamovna and Zalessky Vladimir Vasilievich (participants of the Great Patriotic War) were considered and positive decisions were made on them. (The moment in November 1941 was tense: the enemy wanted to create a huge cauldron, to cut off the Caucasus from the main territory of the USSR, to block the way for Allied supplies to the USSR from the southern direction - through the Persian Gulf and Iran. But the enemy failed to implement this plan. Thanks to the defenders of Rostov-on-Don!).
But... you know... dear Order bearer Starodubtsev L.T.... if your daughter gets a "comfortable housing" from us, and you get a one-room apartment, then you should understand us too...
The correspondence continues, it is clear from it that L.T. Starodubtsev has stopped complaining ... But the topic of coming to Rostov-on-Don with a dried fishes disappears from the letters...
Zalessky Vladimir Vasilyevich - one on one with the Rostov Regional Committee of the CPSU and other authorities, and after the sending the letter to the great comrade Vlasov A.V., Zalessky had to write a detailed letter of justification to the Kirov District Police Department of Rostov-on-Don, - he had no desire to be prosecuted for his activity for the benefit of the Soviet Submarine Navy. ... But... you know... You have to understand... live your life quietly ... Be silent, dear comrade... talk less about the heroism of the Soviet people...
If "a dried fishes" theme has disappeared, then by extension, I need to be ready to meet the disappearance of "a bottle of milk" theme.
However, events can be viewed from different angles.
A retired high-ranking military mind regularly and a lot told the multinational Russial people about military problems in his weekly radio broadcasts, and in the meantime, a "critical situation" was created.
Thus, as they say, there is a "multilateral effect".
Maybe someone will put out a bottle of milk... after all, was there a some benefit () from the speeches of a military expert?
