Heinrich Schliemann, when he first came to Greece and saw rare objects there, sincerely believed that the heroes of Homer's works touched these things.

By analogy, I spoke about the Alexander Suvorov's ruble.

Today I put up for sale the History of the Russian State, a book written by Nikolay Karamzin, - the book, published in 2005 (250 unique illustrations).

(History of the Russian State. Author Nikolay Karamzin. Eksmo, 2005. 250 unique illustrations. 1024 pages. A good condition. Pickup or post. (Подробнее: https://rostov.barahla.net/kuplyu-prodam/knigi-na-bumazhnyh-nositelyah/27483780_prodam-istoriya-gosudarstva-rossiyskogo.html

Nikolay Karamzin acted at the position of the official historiographer.

So after all, Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin [already after Nikolay Karamzin] began to write the History of Peter the Great by state order ...

Here is what is written about this in the biography of Alexander Pushkin:

'When the Tsar ordered him to be allowed into the archives, it was assumed that Pushkin would work on Peter the Great, before whom both the Tsar and the poet bowed. The history of Peter had not yet been written or studied, the materials about him lay in the archives, not sorted, not systematized. Pushkin rummaged through documents for more than five years. He filled six large notebooks with extracts and notes. The death [1837] interrupted the work, did not allow the completion of many years of plans. Indifferent, ignorant heirs and careless publishers lost the records. The family did not save his archives. At first they kept the poet's papers in boxes, put them anywhere, dragged the papers from estate to estate, and finally, many years after his death, they handed over some to the academy, the rest was scattered, lost. Already after the revolution, in the 20s of this century, the descendants used the remnants of Pushkin's records about Peter to tie jars of cherry jam. Only a small part of the materials about Peter has been published. The brilliant poet was not destined to write the history of the brilliant Russian emperor. (Ариадна Тыркова-Вильямс. ЖИЗНЬ ПУШКИНА. Том второй. 1824-1837. [Ariadna Tyrkova-Williams. Zhizn' Pushkina (Life of Pushkin). Volume Two. 1824-1837]). [unofficial translation]

It is believed that the History of Peter the Great Alexander Pushkin began to write in 1834.

For various reasons [bases], the poet received certain amounts from the state treasury.

  He wrote to Pletnev:

'By the way, I'll tell you the news (but let it remain, for many reasons, between us): the Tsar took me into the service - but not into the clerical, or court, or military service - no, he gave me a salary, opened the archives for me, [Tsar helped me so that] I rummaged around there and [he assisted me so that] I did nothing [wasn't busy with anything]. That's very nice of him, isn't it? He said: Puisqu'il est marié et qu'il n'est pas riche, il faut faire aller sa martite. [Since he is married and not rich, he must be helped to make ends meet (fr.)]. By God, he is very nice to me' (July 22, 1831). (Ариадна Тыркова-Вильямс. ЖИЗНЬ ПУШКИНА. Том второй. 1824-1837. [Ariadna Tyrkova-Williams. Zhizn' Pushkina (Life of Pushkin). Volume Two. 1824-1837]). [unofficial translation]

Is it not the one of those silver rubles, received by Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin from Nicholas the First, - the ruble, which I accidentally acquired some time ago - among other silver coins?

I don't remember exactly, I'll have to check.

If it turns out that I have such a ruble, then the question of its price will arise.

I'll search the Internet for information about the price ...

In any case, the cost of such an item on the history of culture as the royal ruble of the times of Alexander Pushkin and Nicholas I will not be less than 10,000 - 15,000 modern Russian rubles.

I see no reason to doubt the authenticity of randomly acquired coins. But ... I, personally, (yet) do not know how to conduct a chemical analysis of silver ...

You can look at the topic in different ways. But it is not so easy to make a real coin out of silver or "white metal". So - the doubts could exist (if they arise), and the coin may exist.

So, I need to check, may be I once accidentally acquired the "Pushkin's ruble" - the ruble paid by Nicholas the First to Alexander Pushkin so that Alexander Pushkin "rummaged through the archives and did nothing."

Yes, I'll look on the Internet for the cost of such a ruble. I'll put it up for sale at an average price.

As an exception - to reduce the risks of the buyer - it will be possible to agree with sale of such ruble at a price of 10,000 - 15,000 modern Russian rubles? A trade - it is a maneuvering in matters of price.
