An urban "local" tourism with the history off textbook's borders. A story for children about Seryozha.
Each settlement has its own history and its own historical sights.
Many people don't go to Rome, Paris or London, but they do a local tourism.
Seryozha in the media has repeatedly heard the most flattering reviews from "local tourists."
Why not become a "local tourist"?
An interesting story was told on the radio.
As Seryozha has understood (he perceived the information by ear, so inaccuracies are possible), once, during the time of Catherine the Second, the inhabitants of Nakhichevan decided to take the initiative and applied to the capital of the Empire with a request to transform the settlement of Nakhichevan (which was located near Rostov-on-Don or within Rostov-on-Don) into an independent city.
The authors of the initiative thought over everything in advance. For example, in the capital of the Empire, the question will arise: how many streets in a settlement that wants to acquire the status of a city?
The initiators divided each street, as it were, into two independent streets.
For example, essentially one street has two separate, independent names: "Verkhnenolnaya" [Upper-0-th (line), Upper-Zero-Naya (line)] and "Nizhnenolnaya" [Lower-0-th (line), Lower-Zero-Naya (line)].
Or: "1st line [pervaya liniya]" and "2nd line [vtoraya liniya]."
The foresight of the initiators gave the necessary result.
Seryozha even assumed that Catherine the Second personally signed a decree granting Nakhichevan the status of a city.
The participants in the radio program liked this story much, they gave material with a kind smile. The interest of the participants in the radio discussion came over to Seryozha.
He decided to take up local tourism and to inspect the "lines [linii]," that is, the streets, that received names back in the time of Catherine the Second.
Having chosen a convenient moment, Seryozha arrived on Sovetskaya Street, at the place where Verkhnenolnaya and Nizhnenolnaya connected.
He went further along Sovetskaya Street. He reached the connection [joint] of "1st Line" Street and "2nd Line" Street.
He goes further, inspects the "lines," that is, the streets. It seems that here there are some houses of old, - maybe pre-revolutionary, - times. Very interesting.
The family continues to call on the phone: is Seryozha tired? Doesn't he need a jacket or sweater? Or pies? Maybe, the hot tea? Or a coffee?
Seryozha reassures the family: everything is fine.
But the family is worried. When will Seryozha get to the fast food restaurant? When will he eat?
Seryozha is in no hurry. He inspects houses, reflects when these houses were built. Looks at the streets ("lines").
At last, after another phone call, he decided to clarify the situation to the family:
"To get the decree of Catherine the Second, each street was sort of split into two. It turned out many "lines," that is, streets. I go, I examine... "
"It was invented with a lot of cunning!" - the family admires.
Seryozha goes further.
Once the inspection [viewing] will complete, there will be visiting a fast food restaurant.
It will be delicious. And an exclamation point!
