The media informed all interested parties about holding a meeting in office of Plenipotentiary Envoy Yuri Trutnev with the participation of the most important state environmental officials and with the participation of representatives of public organizations, environmental activists. The meeting will be dedicated to the events in Avacha Bay in Kamchatka.
What points, in our opinion, are important in connection with the plan to hold such a meeting?
1. The meeting itself - by its nature - does not differ from the governor's walk in the company of all interested persons along the Pacific Ocean coast - in Avacha Bay.
People gathered. They consider different facts and discuss them, outline a plan for further action.
2. Of course, the main thing, in our opinion, is - at the moment - not so much a discussion, but an energetic effective search, which allows to grab (to catch) the perpetrators of the ecological disaster by the hand.
The more days spent on meetings - and not spent on tracing, on search - the more difficult it is to find the culprit and the more likely it is that the environmental disaster will recur after a moderately short period of time.
3. There are almost no questions about the meeting of the heads of environmental departments. Why "almost"? Because the meeting is being held, and the emergency regime, judging by the media, has not been declared. Personally, I have not come across information about the introduction of an emergency regime.
That is, even before the meeting, an important hint is sent to the heads of environmental departments, to the top environmental officials ...
4. Now we turn to the issue of participation in the meeting of representatives of public, non-governmental environmental organizations. Something like this notion ("environmental organizations") is used in the news.
What does the process actually look like?
There are at least three lists.
The first list is the most general, the largest. These are all organizations and all environmental activists - all without exception. I am a very modest person (no ranks, no positions, no government funding) - but I also include myself in this general list.
The second list is a list of the most effective environmental organizations and figures, activists. I am modestly silent about myself in connection with this list. But I know that some organizations and activists have shown themselves very energetically and very effectively during the struggle to free killer whales and Beluga whales from the whale prison in Primorye.
The third list is a list of those invited to a meeting in office of Plenipotentiary Envoy Yuri Trutnev. Does the list of invited persons has an attitude to the first two lists? In the department of Yuri Trutnev there is an official who will compile (or have already made) a list of invitees. This list will be brought to Yuri Trutnev for approval. Who is on this list?
There is some unpleasant suspicion, most likely wrong, clearly mistaken one, that these will be people well known to the deputies of a famous faction in the State Duma ...
