It was afternoon. There were no clouds in the sky, the sun was shining brightly, it was getting hot.
Chirr flew up to a tall tree and sat on a branch.
In such heat it is nice to sit on a branch in the shade.
At that moment, a group of sparrows flew up to the tree. They did not stay on the tree - they immediately headed to the plate with water, which stood not far from the tree. Apparently, one of the people put this plate - either for a dog, or for a cat, or for birds. Or she accidentally appeared at this place, and there was water in her after the rain.
Since other sparrows flew up there, then, most likely, it's possible to safely drink water.
Chirr in company of the other sparrows drank some water, and returned on the branch.
At this time, a titmouse flew up to the tree.
The titmouse busily flew around branch after branch, and if he found midges, he pecked them up.
Chirr was pleasantly impressed by the efficiency of the titmouse. Chirr himself did not miss the opportunity to dine with midges from the tree, but the efficiency of the titmouse caused an admiration.
Especially, the careful examination of the branches by the titmouse, was drawing attention. Each branch was examined a several times from a different positions. And the titmouse tried not to miss a single branch.
"Tit works as an inspector of tree!" Chirr guessed.
The inspector of tree completed the study of all branches and flew away on his business.
"In order for me to sit on this tree, and fly to drink water, this tree must be the subject of careful inspection every day!" Chirr thought.
Chirr mentally took off his hat in front of the inspector of tree and mentally expressed gratitude.
It got hotter and hotter. And the opportunity to sit on a branch, in the shade, near a plate of water, was very attractive.
"Thank you, inspector of tree!" - sparrow Chirr mentally repeated his gratitude to the useful tit.
