A Transferring a Business Through a Magic Glass Ball. A Story.
Groll Bell was the seventh son of a local tribe chief.
After studying at two universities (in the New York University - specializing in finance; in the Bruxelles University - in corporate law), Groll Bell returned to his native country of Taunton and became an entrepreneur.
The project of his business was prepared in the Bureau of Business Design at the University of Higher Sciences. His business was optimized and effectivized.
One of the tribe members mined metal ore with a shovel (having descended into a deep hole). The second worker (also a tribe member) smelted metal from the ore in a hut (which was built from local trees).
The third worker, a tribe member too, controlled the operation of the machine, which produced (from the obtained metal) metal buttons.
A small German-made van came for the buttons every day. The van picked up a batch of buttons and took them to the warehouse. The driver of the van was the eighth son of the local tribe chief.
The metal buttons (produced by Groll Bell) were supplied to almost all countries of the world - their price was not high, and the buttons were needed almost everywhere.
These three workers received wages: they were given the right to work in the fields belonging to the chief of the tribe (Groll Bell's father) without paying rent and to take the harvest for themselves (that is, to appropriate the harvest). The working day (in the production of metal buttons) was not limited in duration.
Groll Bell received an income of 5,000 (five thousand) US dollars per month from his business.
On April 2, 2025, Groll Bell learned that higher duties were being imposed all over the world.
Consequently, prices for all types of products (subject to higher duties) will increase. The demand for metal buttons may decrease.
There is a way out of this situation. This way out is to transfer (to move) a business to an economically powerful country. Buttons produced within an economically powerful country (and sold in that country) do not cross the state (customs) border. They are not subject to (custom) duties (taxes). The prices for buttons can be kept unchanged. Consequently, the monthly income from the business will also be maintained - 5000 (five thousand) US dollars per month.
Groll Bell went to the local fortune teller-sorceress.
The fortune teller-sorceress greeted Groll Bell with low bows; she asked visitor what the problem was. She lit fragrant incense and began to whisper spells.
Gradually, the fortune teller-sorceress's room filled with pleasant smoke. Groll Bell's head began to spin.
Some mysterious creatures began to come into his consciousness.
At last, the fortune teller-sorceress invited Groll Bell to approach a large glass ball.
Groll Bell seemed to see some pictures inside this ball.
He stepped into the glass ball and found himself in an economically powerful country together with his three workers.
Groll Bell felt himself confidently, as he had lived (during his studies) in economically developed countries for a long time.
One of the workers began to dig a hole from which iron ore would be raised, the second began to fan the fire for a smelting the ore, and the third went to the machine for producing metal buttons.
Groll Bell walked away from them and turned his gaze to the industrial building under construction. In this country, the workplaces must meet certain requirements!
The industrial building was completed just before Groll Bell's eyes. He wrote a check for 200,000 (two hundred thousand) US dollars, handed the check to the construction manager and looked back.
His (Groll Bell's) workers approached him.
They asked him to set them a wage: their native land plots, where they earned their living, were not nearby - they were far away.
A car with a tax inspector passed by.
A polite man in a nice hat and white shirt approached. He asked where the workers came from. "From the wonderful country of Taunton!"
The man in the white shirt invited the workers to go to the immigration office to clarify some details: the grounds for the presence of foreign citizens on the territory of an economically powerful state had changed.
The workers left for a while. They returned back to Groll Bell with a sad look.
A local realtor kindly invited Groll Bell to sell the industrial building (he had built several minutes earlier) for 25,000 (twenty-five thousand) dollars...
Groll Bell hurried to come out of the glass ball.
He asked the fortune teller-sorceress: what should he do in a contradictory situation?
The fortune teller-sorceress took out a deck of cards and began to throw the cards - one after another - onto a special table.
"The cards are announcing: Ride a horse on a sunny day, Rest in a chair during an eclipse!"
Groll Bell returned to his house and sat comfortably in his chair (on the veranda). The situation needed to be considered - from different sides.
He stood up and shouted to his workers that for three days they could to rest or to work in the field (in the plots allocated to them). A van (German-made) arrived, to transport a batch of manufactured buttons. "Brother, you don't have to come during three days - there will be no buttons for three days," Groll Bell warned the driver of the van.
Groll Bell returned to his chair on the veranda, sat comfortably in it, and began to remember what he had been taught in foreign universities.
